I’m Rachel Taylor Alegria, the founder of TaylorMade HR. I’ve spent over 20 years leading People Operations and HR Strategy across startups, high-growth ventures, multi-site service providers, and global companies.

Along the way, I’ve supported everything from startup acquisitions to company expansions, partnering with organizations as large as Target and small businesses with fewer than 100 employees. From opening new locations to merging teams and systems, I’ve seen what it takes to grow sustainably.

Today, I consult across multiple industries, serve as Fractional CEO for a national beauty education company, support another HR consulting firm, and run my own business. My work is hands-on, people-first, and focused on creating systems that actually work. I’m known for cutting through the noise, simplifying complex issues, and building trust quickly. I’m a Federal and California State Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR and PHR-CA) and based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I’m known for keeping it real and giving honest, practical advice without the corporate jargon or HR fluff. After yet another layoff in 2023, I decided it was time to stop building other people’s dreams and start my own. TaylorMade HR was born from that moment, with one goal: to make HR smarter, simpler, and more human.
